It is FUN to be beautiful!

Yes. It is. I love being beautiful. It does takes work and effort, though. We don’t just wake up in the morning gorgeous. If I chose not to put the effort into it, trust me when I say that I could easily be hideous! For women, there is a lot to do. We need to exercise, shave practically our whole body, have our hair done and style it every day, do manicures, do pedicures (I do these myself because nail salons give me migraine headaches. It’s either the fumes or the little Asian girls chattering incessantly in another language as though I’m not there… or both), makeup. And if that isn’t enough, we have to deal with our period thing every month. How hard is it to try to be beautiful during THAT ridiculousness? There are times when it isn’t even possible.

It is a lot of work being beautiful, but pays off. You always feel better. You feel empowered and in control.  You truly feel like you can accomplish anything when you feel like you are beautiful. Well, whatever you can get accomplished in the time you have left after getting yourself beautiful. If we we just woke up beautiful, women would have long since taken over the world. We’ll there. Give us a little more time. It takes us longer, remember? Of course!

See, that’s why we love finding short cuts and beauty tips.. I have a few that often save my behind. Such as using eye shadow to touch up your roots when you haven’t had time to color and something important springs up. I saw somewhere online, a lady marketed a powder to touch up your roots in a pinch. She was asking a pretty penny for it, too. Always the one to scrutinize before spending a dime, I did just that. Upon further inspection (followed up by testing my theory) I found that she was selling EYE SHADOW for a price that must have been making her a fortune. It probably still is. Seriously, I need to come up with something like that!

I didn’t pay a dime for it and I gleaned a very useful beauty tip. That’s the key. Discovering ways to save time and keep our money in our pocket to spend on shoes, rather than beauty products. We have better ingredients in our own cupboards than what many expensive products have in them. Fruits and dairy, weird medicines, like Prep H, Milk of Magnesia (Mylanta), and aspirin. Olive oil. Honey. The list goes on.

Being beautiful takes time and effort, but much of it comes from within. I always say that beauty is NOT in the eye of the beholder. It’s in the heart of the beautiful. Any beautiful woman could just as easily be ugly (way more easily, actually), just as any ugly woman could (well, not easily, like I said, it’s hard work) be beautiful if she put forth the effort.

Bitches! Don’t hate us because we are beautiful! We have a planet to take over! Before these brutish men destroy it completely.

A sweet and creamy beauty tip for the girls…

My skin is sensitive, especially my face. I have to be careful what I clean it with, what I moisturize with, what makeup I wear. If I use the wrong thing, it will either break out horribly, or become red and irritated. Don’t get me started on what happens if I kiss a guy who needs to shave.

Anyways, I have been mixing about a half cup of milk with three tablespoon of honey in a coffee cup. I zap it for about 10 seconds in the microwave and stir, then I smear it all over my face and neck. I leave it for about 5 minutes, then jump in the shower. I must tell you, my face feels so refreshed and wonderful after these treatments. I also will mix some oatmeal in every so often to do a more deep exfoliation. It seems to give my skin a youthful glow. I really like it.

When in a hurry, I will smear just the honey, straight from the fridge, over my skin before showering, sometimes. The honey by itself feels wonderful, too. Ladies, I urge you to try this. It beats any expensive treatment I can think of.

Also, if you want to and have enough, try mixing about a half gallon of milk, half jar of honey, and a couple of cups of oatmeal into a warm bath. This is a wonderful all over treatment for your skin, for special occasions.

Anyone have any other special skin recipes they want to let us in on?
